What material is this Ø 200 mm K36 corundum grinding wheel used for?

Corundum (Al₂O₃) grinding wheels are for unalloyed steel, structural steels S235/S355, HSS tool steels, iron, brass. K36 is suitable for aggressive roughing: rapid material removal on mild steel, iron, and hard metals. Coarse grit — produces visible lines that need to be blended with a finer grit. Do not use on tungsten carbide (HM) — corundum does not effectively work carbide and wears out quickly. For HM, use only SDC or CBN diamond grinding wheels.

Is this grinding wheel compatible with my bench grinder?

Check the outer diameter (200 mm), thickness, and bore hole before purchasing — they must exactly match the machine's specifications. Also check the maximum peripheral speed of the grinding wheel (indicated in m/s) against the machine's spindle speed. Never mount a grinding wheel with a maximum speed lower than the machine's operating speed. Customer support available in Italian.

How do you dress a corundum grinding wheel when it gets clogged?

With a single-point diamond dresser: rest the dresser on the machine's support, slowly bring the rotating grinding wheel close and slide the diamond transversally across the grinding wheel face with light feed. Dressing exposes new abrasive grains and removes clogged binder. Repeat whenever the grinding wheel loses efficiency or vibrates during use.
