Frequently asked questions
TG 80 screw jack vs TB strap jack: when to use the TG?
The TG 80 is a worm screw jack: millimeter-precision movement, ideal for fine leveling of machinery (0.5–1 mm adjustment at a time). The TB strap jack is faster for high lifting heights. In practice: use the TG for final precision positioning after lifting with the TB. The TG's swiveling feet prevent tipping under load — superior safety for working under the machine during leveling.
Capacity ? tons — how to check the machine's weight?
The weight is indicated in the machinery's technical table. For machines without available data: estimate 1 kg per 10 cm³ of cast iron (density approx. 7.2 g/cm³). Never exceed 80% of the jack's nominal capacity — a safety margin is necessary to compensate for dynamic loads during maneuvering. Always use multiple jacks in pairs for machines with an asymmetrical base.
