T-slot bolts and nuts are used in the T-slots of the work table of milling machines, grinders, and drilling tables for clamping vises, fixtures, and workpieces. The 14 mm width must exactly match the width of the T-slots on your machine — different width slots require different size bolts. The M12 thread indicates the top nut screw.
How many bolts are needed to securely fasten a milling vise?
A milling vise is fastened with at least 2 bolts on opposite or parallel slots — one on each side. For heavy vises (over 15 kg) or operations that generate high lateral forces, use 4 bolts (two on each side). The tightening torque must be uniform on all bolts to prevent the vise from tilting under load.
