Quick-change tapping chucks MT 5 — what are their advantages compared to hand taps?

Quick-change tapping chucks (M12 - M24) with overload safety clutch allow tapping on pillar drills and core drilling machines with manual feed while maintaining synchronism between feed and rotation. The safety clutch protects the tap from breakage when the torque exceeds the set value. The quick change allows replacing the tap in 10 seconds between tapping operations without disassembling the chuck.

Is this set compatible with my Bernardo pillar drill?

Check the Morse taper of your drill's spindle (MT 5) — it must match the tap holder's attachment. The MT 4 series is for lathes and drills with Morse taper 4; the MT 5 for Morse taper 5. Customer support available in Italian.
