Yes — the base raises the bench grinder to a comfortable working height (typically 850–950 mm from the floor), eliminating the need to bend over during sharpening. The integrated cooling tray collects water used during wet sharpening — preventing water from reaching the floor or contaminating the machine below.
Compatible with 175 mm grinders — even from other manufacturers?
The base is designed for Bernardo grinders of the specified diameters. Compatibility with grinders from other manufacturers must be verified on a case-by-case basis — the mounting surface dimensions and the position of the fixing holes may differ. Customer support available in Italian.
