The Bernardo Lever Shear HS 10 is a robust and versatile manual shear, designed for cutting sheet metal, round bars, and flat steel. It is ideal for blacksmiths, installers, and training workshops thanks to its optimized cutting geometry which reduces operator effort. It offers a maximum cutting length of 210 mm and a capacity of up to 4.0 mm on sheet metal (400 N/mm², not over the entire length). It can also cut round bars up to Ø 13 mm and flat steel up to 70 x 5 mm. The machine body, made of robust steel sheet, is pre-drilled for mounting on a workbench. The upper blade features a through hole for cutting round bars, while the height-adjustable hold-down device prevents twisting of the sheet metal. With a weight of 23 kg, it is stable and safe, yet suitable for craft and professional workshops.

What is the maximum thickness for aluminum and stainless steel?

The nominal thickness of 1.5 mm refers to S235 steel (400 N/mm²). For aluminum, the capacity increases by 30–50% (approx. 2.1 mm). For AISI 304 stainless steel, the capacity decreases by 30–40% (approx. 1.0 mm).

Are the blades replaceable?

Yes. The cutting blades are replaceable when worn or damaged. Original Bernardo spare blades available with 3–5 working days shipping.

Does it require fixed installation or can it be used on a workbench?

Most Bernardo lever shears are fixed to a workbench or floor with bolts. They do not require a special foundation. More compact versions can also be used with a workbench vise.

Can the Bernardo Lever Shear HS 10 also cut copper and brass?

Yes. Copper and brass have lower resistance than S235 steel: the actual capacity for copper is similar to aluminum (approx. 2.1 mm). For specific alloys, contact Krollit for verification.
