Bernardo Radial Drill SRB 40 NC – Precision and Flexibility with Digital Control
The Bernardo SRB 40 NC radial drill is designed for professional drilling and tapping applications up to M30, ensuring high performance and stability even in the most demanding tasks. Thanks to touchscreen digital control, all settings can be managed intuitively and quickly.
The robust construction with a Ø 220 mm column and rigid radial arm ensures vibration-free machining. The head is electrically adjustable in height, tiltable from -90° to +90°, and equipped with hydraulic clamping, ideal for deep drilling.
The 1195 x 500 mm work table allows simultaneous clamping of multiple workpieces. The drill is equipped with 6 automatic spindle feeds, a tapping device, and continuous speed adjustment (50–2000 rpm). A complete accessory package is included: tilting table, box table, clamping plate, coolant device, LED light, and CE guards.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does "NC" mean in the name of the SRB radial drill?
NC (Numerical Control) indicates that the machine has numerical control for axis management — it allows programming the spindle position and RPM precisely and repeatedly. SRB NC models can be connected to automation systems for series drilling on identical parts without having to manually reposition the spindle every time.
What is the difference between SRB 40 NC and SRB 50 NC?
The number indicates the maximum drilling capacity in steel: SRB 40 NC (Ø 40 mm), SRB 50 NC (Ø 50 mm). The SRB 50 NC has a longer arm, a more powerful motor, and a larger table. The choice depends on the maximum diameter of the drill bits used and the size of the workpieces to be machined.
Is the radial arm motorized?
Yes — in SRB NC models, the movement of the arm and spindle is motorized and controlled by the NC system, unlike manual RD radial drills where the arm moves manually. This allows for the positioning repeatability necessary for series drilling.
