PO4 4-jaw chuck Ø 250 mm — when to choose it over the PO3 3-jaw chuck?

The PO4 4-jaw chuck is necessary for: square, rectangular, asymmetrical or irregular workpieces that cannot be centered with the PO3's 3 jaws. The 4 jaws are independently adjustable — each jaw moves separately to adapt to any shape. Centering takes longer (3–5 minutes with dial indicator) compared to the self-centering PO3, but the achievable precision is higher: <0.01 mm with dial indicator. The PO3 is faster; the PO4 is more versatile.

Standard DIN 6350 mounting — how is the chuck mounted?

The DIN 6350 bolted flange mounting is attached by tightening the fixing screws evenly in a cross pattern. It takes 5–10 minutes to assemble. The angular position is fixed — the chuck should not be frequently removed with this mounting.

Included jaws — can they be inverted for external gripping?

The included kit contains rotating jaws (external grip) and drilling jaws (internal grip). For gripping strong workpieces from the inside, drilling jaws are used; for standard external gripping, rotating jaws are used. The PO4 jaws are not reversible — they are replaced with the appropriate type depending on the operation. Customer support in Italian available.
