Frequently Asked Questions
Keyless drill chuck 1 - 16 mm — what is the difference compared to a geared chuck (with key)?
The keyless chuck allows you to mount and remove drill bits by hand — no key to search for, no risk of losing the key during operation. The clamping force is generated by manually rotating the collar: sufficient for standard drilling. For heavy drilling (Ø >20 mm on steel) or operations that generate reverse torque (tapping), a geared chuck provides superior grip compared to a keyless chuck.
MK 3 taper — which machine is it compatible with?
The MK 3 taper fits directly into the machine spindle with an MK 3 Morse taper seat. Verify that your machine's seat matches the indicated taper. For machines with a different diameter seat, use extension/reduction sleeves. Customer support in English available.
Can the chuck be used for machine tapping?
No — keyless chucks are not suitable for machine tapping. The reverse torque generated during tap extraction can loosen the chuck's grip, causing the tap to be released. For tapping on a drill, use tapping chucks with safety clutches specific for tapping.
