Description

The flat, wide top face provides an extended contact surface with the workpiece, offering maximum grip and minimal interference during light routing, sanding, and finishing operations. They are compatible with the Festool MFT/3 top, UJK multifunction tops, and all grid tops with 20mm holes. Made in Great Britain. Distributed in Italy by Krollit, official UJK distributor since 2007.

Who are the UJK 12mm low-profile flat-faced bench dogs for?

Profile Compatibility Reason
Carpenter performing light routing and finishing on a multifunction top Suitable The flat, wide face distributes clamping force evenly across the workpiece without pressure concentrations on the edges, reducing the risk of marks on the material
Anyone working with delicate materials that should not be marked by the dog's edge Suitable Unlike round-faced dogs, the flat face eliminates point contact with the workpiece during processing, distributing pressure over a larger surface area
Anyone requiring zero-tolerance clamping or an expansion mechanism Not suitable Low-profile dogs have no clamping mechanism; for applications requiring zero tolerance, UJK expanding bench dogs from the corresponding range are recommended

Not suitable for: use with a guide rail and track saw, for which dogs with a minimum protrusion of 30–60mm are required; and for operations requiring zero-tolerance clamping without play.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between 12mm flat-faced dogs and round-faced dogs of the same range?

6, 8, and 10mm dogs have a rounded top face and are primarily recommended as a side stop during sanding and planing. The 12mm flat-faced dogs have a wide, flat top face that distributes clamping force evenly, reducing the risk of marks on the workpiece.

The flat face is recommended for light routing, finishing operations, and clamping delicate materials. The 12mm protrusion is the maximum in the low-profile range
