The BOOST function delivers 10 A for 300 seconds (5 minutes) to the battery to provide temporary starting assistance. It is not a professional 200–250 A emergency jump-start as on the GDB models: the BOOST function rapidly charges the battery for 5 minutes to provide enough energy to start the engine when the battery is partially discharged. It is not suitable for completely flat batteries or large-displacement engines.
Is the GAB compatible with AGM batteries in Start&Stop vehicles?
Yes. Güde explicitly declares compatibility with AGM batteries for automatic Start&Stop systems. The battery type is selected via the control panel before starting the charge cycle.
