Bernardo Universal Milling Machine VARIOMILL FU 1600 E Servo
The Bernardo VARIOMILL FU 1600 E Servo universal milling machine is a high-performance professional machine, designed for maximum stability and precision in machining operations. Thanks to continuous and rapid feeds on all axes via servo motors, it ensures efficient operation and reduced processing times.
The 1600 x 500 mm cross table, with a load capacity of up to 1800 kg, allows for machining of large workpieces. Ball screws on all axes eliminate mechanical play, while the Turcite-B coating on the X-axis reduces the stick-slip effect. Dovetail guides on the X-axis and rectangular guides on the Y and Z axes guarantee rigidity and long life.
The hardened and ground oil-bath gears, automatic centralized lubrication, and massive cast iron structure reduce vibrations and ensure reliability. With the universal head, the ES-12 H 3-axis digital display, and ergonomic controls, the FU 1600 E Servo is a complete machine for precision industrial machining.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between UWF 110, UWF 130, and UWF 150 V?
UWF 110: Huron-type universal head on vertical spindle, ISO 40, single 3.0 kW motor, 1370 × 300 mm table, 1,505 kg weight. UWF 130: two independent motors (horizontal + vertical) ISO 40, both 3.0 kW, 1370 × 320 mm table — for simultaneous operations or quick change between horizontal and vertical milling. UWF 150 V: ISO 50, 5.5 kW motors, larger table (1600 × 360 mm), vertical spindle speed with Siemens inverter, 2,695 kg weight — for harder materials and larger workpieces.
What does "Servo" in the name mean and how does it differ from non-Servo versions?
The Servo suffix indicates that table feeds on all axes (X, Y, Z) are driven by servo motors with 10 Nm torque. Servo motors ensure precise and constant feeds, integrated rapid traverses (up to 1,000 mm/min on X and Y), and the ability to program repeatable automatic cycles. Without Servo, feeds are manual or hydraulic — slower and with less repeatability. For series production and precision machining, the Servo version is almost always the correct choice.
Is the ES-12 H 3-axis DRO included as standard?
Yes — the ES-12 H 3-axis digital display is included as standard in all UWF Servo and VARIOMILL FU versions. It allows real-time reading of axis position with 0.001 mm resolution, preset dimension, and automatic calculation of dividers and radii. It is the component that most reduces dimensional errors compared to traditional verniers.
Do these milling machines require special foundations?
UWF milling machines (1,500–2,700 kg) and VARIOMILL FU (4,000–5,000 kg) require an industrial reinforced concrete floor sized for the load. For VARIOMILLs over 4,000 kg, a foundation designed by a structural engineer is necessary. Coordinate with Krollit before ordering for anchoring and installation specifications.
Are assistance and spare parts available?
Original spare parts available with 3–5 business day shipping. Customer support in Italian available.
