DIJ Ø 500 mm Jaws — What do DIJ mean and for what type of clamping?
DIJ (Direct Inner Jaw) indicates internal gripping jaws: the teeth bite from the inside of a hole or cavity, expanding outwards. Used to clamp holed workpieces (rings, flanges, hollow shafts) by locking them from inside the hole. The teeth's geometry is optimized for internal gripping — they are not used for traditional external gripping. The Ø 500 mm size indicates the diameter of the compatible chuck, not the diameter of the clappable hole.
DK11 series — compatibility with my chuck?
DK11 connection (11 DIN 6350 bolts). Check the type of connection of your chuck before purchase — DK11 and DK12 are not interchangeable. The Ø 500 mm diameter must match the chuck size. Customer support available in Italian.
What is the internal diameter range that can be clamped with these jaws?
The clamping range depends on the jaw travel in the chuck and the teeth geometry. As a reference for a Ø 500 mm chuck: the minimum clappable hole is approximately 15–20% of the chuck diameter; the maximum is approximately 60–70%. For applications outside this range, contact Krollit. Customer support available in Italian.
