Description
The SGH 25 geared pillar drill is a floor-standing machine powered at 400 V, with a drilling capacity of up to 25 mm and tapping capacity up to M 10. The helical-tooth gearbox, combined with the 0.65 / 1.2 kW two-speed motor, provides 8 speeds from 105 to 2,900 rpm with quiet operation. Head and table rotate 360° and are height-adjustable on the Ø 100 mm ground steel column; rotation reversal for tapping and the automatic tool ejector are fitted as standard.
What are the main features of the SGH 25?
- Helical-tooth gearbox for high power transmission and quiet operation
- Two-speed motor with 8 speeds from 105 to 2,900 rpm
- Geared head and table rotate 360° and are height-adjustable
- Clockwise/anticlockwise rotation reversal via selector switch, for tapping up to M 10
- Drilling capacity up to 25 mm with MT 3 Morse taper spindle mount
- Large 405 × 275 mm table with T-slots
- Automatic tool ejector
- Precision ball bearings for high concentricity
- Ground steel column Ø 100 mm for high stability and load resistance
- 120 mm quill stroke and height-adjustable guard
What applications is it suitable for?
The SGH 25 is suitable for machine shops, maintenance departments and metal fabrication shops that drill steel and other metals up to 25 mm and tap threads up to M 10, including on tall workpieces thanks to the 830 mm between spindle and table. The minimum speed of 105 rpm with geared transmission ensures torque even at larger diameters, while the rotating head and table make it easier to position bulky workpieces. It requires connection to a 400 V three-phase supply and a floor able to support approx. 187 kg.
It is not suitable for users with only a 230 V single-phase socket, nor for tapping above M 10: in these cases a 230 V model or a higher-capacity tapping drill such as the SGH 28 is required.
What are the technical specifications of the SGH 25?
What equipment is included with the SGH 25?

- Reducing sleeve MT 3 / MT 2 – for fitting tools with MT 2 Morse taper shanks.
- Automatic tool ejector – for quickly removing tools and chuck from the mount.
- Clockwise/anticlockwise reversing device – for reversing the direction of rotation during tapping.
- Height-adjustable guard – to protect the drilling area during machining.
