Description
The SGH 35 geared pillar drill is a heavy-duty floor-standing machine powered at 400 V, with a drilling capacity of up to 32 mm and an MT 4 Morse taper spindle mount. The oil-bath ground gearbox, combined with the 1.1 / 1.5 kW two-speed motor, provides 12 speeds from 75 to 3,200 rpm, selectable by lever. The head tilts 180°, rotates 360° and is height-adjustable on the Ø 115 mm column; the manual feed switches from rapid to fine, and the tapping device with reversing function is fitted as standard.
What are the main features of the SGH 35?
- Oil-bath ground gearbox for quiet, smooth operation
- Two-speed motor with 12 speeds from 75 to 3,200 rpm, quick change by lever
- Geared head tilts 180°, rotates 360° and is height-adjustable
- Manual feed switchable from rapid to fine via clutch
- Tapping device with clockwise/anticlockwise rotation reversal
- Drilling capacity up to 32 mm with MT 4 Morse taper spindle mount
- Large 450 × 450 mm table with T-slots and perimeter coolant channel
- Ground steel column Ø 115 mm, designed for heavy-duty use
- Machined 370 × 415 mm base for clamping particularly tall workpieces
- 125 mm quill stroke and height-adjustable guard
What applications is it suitable for?
The SGH 35 is suitable for machine shops, metal fabrication shops, production and maintenance departments that drill steel and other metals up to 32 mm and perform tapping, including on tall or bulky workpieces thanks to the 1,180 mm between spindle and base. The tilting head allows angled holes without tilting the workpiece, while the fine feed helps with precision work and countersinking. It requires connection to a 400 V three-phase supply and a floor able to support approx. 282 kg.
It is not suitable for users with only a 230 V single-phase socket, nor for occasional hobby work, for which a lighter drill is sufficient.
