STANDARD vs PROFI quality — which one to choose?

STANDARD quality is carbon steel with transparent anti-rust paint — remove the coating before use. Cheaper than the PROFI version; suitable for occasional use or on softwoods.

How and how often should this blade be sharpened?

The blade is sharpened with the Bernardo planer knife sharpener (HMS 600 or PHMS 630 A), which ensures a constant sharpening angle across the entire width of the blade.
