Frequently asked questions
Planing blade for sanding 39 mm — for which processing stage is it used?
This blade is for planing with a 39 mm blade. .
STANDARD vs PROFI quality — which one to choose?
The STANDARD quality is carbon steel with transparent anti-rust paint — remove the coating before use. Cheaper than the PROFI version; suitable for occasional use or on soft woods.
How and how often should this blade be sharpened?
The blade is sharpened with the Bernardo planer knife sharpener (HMS 600 or PHMS 630 A), which ensures a constant sharpening angle across the entire width of the blade. The sharpening frequency depends on the intensity of use and the type of wood: for hard woods (oak, beech) every 2–4 weeks; for soft woods every 4–8 weeks.
