Abra 153 (black, abrasiveness 10/10 — maximum) is the most aggressive pre-polishing compound in the Bernardo catalog: it removes deep scratches, machining marks, severe oxidation, and encrusted dirt layers. It is also the most suitable compound for controlled matting of aluminum and for pre-polishing stainless steel with severe surface damage. It should always be used as the first step — followed by a less abrasive compound for finishing.
On which materials does the complete set work?
The set is formulated for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and non-ferrous metals in general. With the appropriate compounds, it also works on some polishable plastics (PMMA, polycarbonate). Not suitable for ceramics, glass, or stone materials.
