DIJ Ø 80 mm Jaws — what does DIJ mean and for which type of clamping?
DIJ (Direct Inner Jaw) indicates internal gripping jaws: the teeth grip from the inside of a hole or cavity, expanding outwards. Used to clamp hollow workpieces (rings, flanges, hollow shafts) by locking them from inside the hole. The teeth geometry is optimized for internal gripping — they are not used for traditional external gripping. The Ø 80 mm size indicates the diameter of the compatible chuck, not the diameter of the hole to be clamped.
DK12 Series — compatibility with my chuck?
DK12 attachment (12 DIN 6350 bolts). Verify the type of attachment of your chuck before purchase — DK11 and DK12 are not interchangeable. The Ø 80 mm diameter must match the chuck size. Customer support available in Italian.
What is the range of internal diameters that can be clamped with these jaws?
The clamping range depends on the jaw travel in the chuck and the teeth geometry. As a reference for an Ø 80 mm chuck: the minimum bore that can be clamped is about 15–20% of the chuck diameter; the maximum is about 60–70%. For applications outside this range, please contact Krollit. Customer support available in Italian.
