Why is a replacement insert without a pre-cut slot needed?
The custom zero-gap insert (without a pre-cut slot) allows for the creation of a perfectly sized opening for the mounted blade β eliminating the lateral play between the blade and the insert. Minimised play prevents thin pieces from getting stuck, reduces vibrations, and improves cutting quality on fragile materials such as laminates and veneers. The slot is cut directly on the insert mounted on the machine, with the blade slowly advancing through the Pertinax.
