Frequently asked questions
Set of 10 diamond files — for which materials are they superior to standard files?
Diamond files (electroplated synthetic diamond coating) work on materials that steel files cannot scratch: tungsten carbide (HM/TCT), ceramics, glass, stone, composite materials with carbon fibers. For normal metals (steel, aluminum), diamond files are not necessary — standard hardened steel files are sufficient and more economical. The 10-piece set includes the main shapes: flat, round, half-round, square, triangular in different sizes.
How to clean diamond files?
With a wire brush (brass or soft steel) under running water — do not use aggressive solvents that attack the galvanic binder. Do not rub on hard abrasive surfaces. Diamond files do not sharpen — when the abrasive effect is significantly reduced, the coating is worn out and the files must be replaced.
