What is the LS system for RB roller conveyors and how does it work?
The LS (Linear Scale / Digital Readout) system is an LCD position indicator with an accuracy of ±0.1 mm/m that mounts on Bernardo RB series roller conveyors. A magnetic tape glued to the edge of the roller and a sensor on the guide carriage detect the position — the LCD display shows the distance from the set zero point in real-time, allowing repeatable cuts to the same length without measuring each piece. LS 1 for RB 4, LS 2 for RB 7, LS 3 for RB 10.
Is this LS system compatible with my Bernardo roller conveyor?
LS 1 → RB 4 (up to 1000 mm). LS 2 → RB 7 / RB 7-2000 (Art. 07-1467). LS 3 → RB 10 (up to 3000 mm). Purchase the correct model for your roller conveyor — the systems are not interchangeable. Italian customer service available.
Does the LS system require electrical power?
The LS display is battery-powered (typically AA batteries) — no power cable needed. The battery typically lasts 12–18 months with normal use.
