Keyed chuck 1-16 mm — when is it preferable to a keyless chuck?
A keyed chuck uses a T-key for mechanical tightening — the tightening torque is higher than with a keyless chuck, making the keyed chuck the choice for: large diameter drilling on steel (Ø >20 mm), operations that generate reverse torque (counterboring, reaming), continuous production use where the clamping must remain firm even under vibrations. The key should not be lost during use.
1/2" – 20 UNF connection — compatibility with my machine?
The 1/2" – 20 UNF connection must match the short taper of the machine's spindle. Check the connection code in your machine's documentation before purchasing. Customer support available in Italian.
