CM 4/5 Extension Sleeve — when is it needed?

The extension sleeve increases the distance from the spindle to the tool — necessary when the standard tool length does not reach the workpiece (e.g., deep drilling with a short drill bit, or limited space around the workpiece). The CM 4 taper fits into the machine; the internal CM 5 taper receives the tool. Customer support available in Italian.

How to install and remove correctly?

Insert with light manual pressure — the Morse taper is self-locking during use. For removal, use the ejector pin in the through hole of the machine spindle. Do not strike the sleeve laterally — risk of damaging the taper seat in the machine.
