Frequently asked questions
Lifting table: permitted for use by people?
Bernardo FSHT, SSHT and TG series lifting tables are designed exclusively for lifting loads — NOT for transporting or lifting people. Use with people is prohibited by Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and dangerous. For work platforms at height, only use equipment certified for personal use (ladders, scaffolding, aerial platforms).
How does the manual hydraulic system work?
The manual hydraulic system uses a lever pump operated by the user: each pump raises the platform by a few mm. Lowering is controlled by the discharge valve. It requires physical effort — suitable for occasional use or environments without electrical power.
Does the 500 kg capacity refer to the centered load?
Yes — the nominal capacity applies to a load uniformly distributed on the platform with the center of gravity in the middle. For off-center loads (pieces placed on one side) the effective capacity is significantly reduced. General rule: do not exceed 70% of the nominal capacity with off-center loads. Always check stability before lifting.
