What exactly is this device used for?
The 50D device is for end mills with a cylindrical shank (3–32 mm): it guides the milling cutter during the grinding of the end cutting edges, maintaining the correct relief angle. Carbide (HM) end mills require the SDC diamond wheel; HSS end mills are sharpened with the CBN or corundum wheel.
