What is a shrinker and how does it work?

A shrinker (or shrinking tool) compresses the outer fibers of the sheet metal: the serrated jaws bite into the sheet metal and tighten it, shortening the outer edge. It produces concave edges (curves inwards). It is the opposite operation to the stretcher, which lengthens the fibers. Used in bodywork and sheet metal processing to correct deformations, create curved panels, and join edges.

What is the difference between SS 20 / SS 20 F and the larger models in the SS series?

The number in the SS name indicates the machine's capacity. The SS 20 / SS 20 F models are benchtop machines for professional use on sheet metal up to 1.5–2 mm. The SS 70 Pro and SS 210 F models are larger versions for thicker sheet metal and serial production. The jaws (dies) are specific to each model — not interchangeable between different sizes.
