The UJK 20mm Hole Reamer and Chamfer Tool performs both tolerance restoration reaming and edge chamfering of 20mm holes in multifunction tops in a single pass. 10mm hex shank for handheld power drills (recommended speed 1,400–1,700 rpm). The reamer has four cutting edges with a gradual reduction entry to remove wood fibers and even out the diameter; the tungsten carbide cutter then creates a clean chamfer around the hole. Recommended for MDF, HDF, and melamine-coated plywood. Made in Great Britain. Distributed in Italy by Krollit, official UJK distributor since 2007.

Who uses the UJK Reamer and Chamfer Tool and for what
The combined tool is used by carpenters and woodworkers who self-build multifunction tops using the Parf MkII drilling system and need to add a chamfer to 20mm holes to use UJK self-locking bench dogs and all accessories with a chamfered stop collar. In Italy, it is particularly adopted by those who build MDF or HDF tops for portable cutting stations, those who upgrade existing tops without chamfer to make them compatible with self-locking bench dogs, and professionals working on multiple tops with 20mm holes of varying quality where pre-reaming ensures correct insertion of the dogs. Combining the two functions in a single tool eliminates the need for two separate passes with a reamer and a chamfer cutter.

Who is the UJK Reamer and Chamfer Tool for
| Profile |
Compatibility |
Reason |
| First-time self-builders of a top using the Parf MkII system |
Suitable |
After drilling with the Parf MkII system, the holes do not have a chamfer; the tool performs reaming and chamfering in a single pass on all holes of the new top |
| Owners of a top with 20mm holes without chamfer who experience difficulty inserting bench dogs |
Suitable |
The tool combines tolerance correction (reaming) and chamfer addition in a single operation, solving both problems in one pass per hole |
| Those working on hardwood veneer-coated plywood |
Not recommended |
The manufacturer UJK reports the possibility of chipping on solid wood veneer-coated plywood; on this material, better results are achieved with a chamfer cutter alone at low speed |
Not recommended for: use with a drill press (handheld power drill only); on hardwood veneer-coated plywood; and for reaming only without chamfer, for which the separate UJK reamer is available.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the combined tool enlarge holes compared to Parf MkII system specifications?
Yes, slightly. The manufacturer UJK states that holes reamed with the combined tool are slightly wider than freshly drilled holes with the Parf MkII system. Dogs inserted into reamed holes feel slightly looser, but still sit vertically thanks to the chamfer without losing precision in operations.
The enlargement is intentional: the tool is designed to account for future humidity and temperature variations, which cause wood fibers to swell over time. A slightly larger hole after reaming ensures that dogs continue to fit correctly even after years of climatic variations.
Is it necessary to use the combined tool on a Festool MFT/3 top?
No. The Festool MFT/3 top already has chamfered 20mm holes as standard with the correct tolerance for UJK dogs. The combined tool is only necessary on tops without chamfer, such as self-built tops with the Parf MkII system or other tops with unchamfered 20mm holes.
If the MFT/3 top's holes become difficult to insert after humidity variations, simply use the UJK reamer alone to restore tolerance, without needing to re-chamfer the existing chamfer.
Is the tungsten carbide cutter replaceable?
The manufacturer UJK does not list the tungsten carbide cutter as a separately replaceable component. For normal use on MDF and HDF tops, the cutter's lifespan is long. In case of wear or damage to the tool, the complete tool must be replaced.
How many holes can be reamed with a single tool?
The manufacturer does not provide a precise guaranteed number of holes. On MDF and HDF, which are the most common materials for multifunction tops and the least abrasive for the cutter, a new tool can process several complete tops before showing appreciable signs of wear.
On Valchromat, which is denser than standard MDF, cutter wear occurs more quickly. For those who need to process a large number of tops, it is advisable to have a spare tool available.
Can the combined tool be used with a cordless drill driver as well as a power drill?
Yes. The 10mm hex shank is compatible with any cordless drill driver or drill with a 10mm chuck or hex adapter. The recommended speed of 1,400–1,700 rpm is easily achievable with most professional cordless drill drivers by adjusting the trigger speed.
