5C collets clamp workpieces with cylindrical or hexagonal shanks with superior concentricity compared to jaw chucks (TIR typically <0.005 mm vs <0.02–0.05 mm for a chuck). They are necessary when: concentricity is critical (precision manufacturing on shafts, gears), workpieces are small (Ø 3–26 mm) and the jaw cannot grip effectively, working in series with identical workpieces to be loaded quickly. Disadvantage: each diameter requires its specific collet (sold separately).
The collet chuck + 5C collet combination — what can be clamped?
5C collets accept cylindrical workpieces from 3 to 26 mm. Each collet is specific for a diameter (e.g., 10 mm collet for Ø 10 mm bars). Purchase collets of the diameter corresponding to your workpieces — sold separately in sets or individually. Customer service available in Italian.
