What it is for
The 50J live center is mounted opposite the workpiece holder to support long tools during grinding — it prevents the tool from shifting axially under the pressure of the grinding wheel. The free rotation of the center follows the tool's movement without seizing. Essential for grinding long drill bits, reamers, and tools with shanks > 150 mm.
