Description

Güde GMR-560 motorcycle lift – 560 kg, 600 mm height, 1500 mm platform, adjustable tilt

The Güde GMR-560 motorcycle lift is the heavy-duty version of the GMR-360 model, designed for heavy motorcycles and touring bikes up to 560 kg, covering 100% of road motorcycles, including cruisers, heavy vintage motorcycles and custom models. The symmetrical scissor mechanism with 2 hydraulic cylinders ensures excellent stability even with heavy motorcycles and irregular centres of gravity.

Unlike the standard GMR-360 version, 360 kg and 820 mm height, the GMR-560 offers extended capacity and adjustable 0-45 degree tilt. The tilt allows the motorcycle to be positioned at an angle for specific engine access, such as angled oil changes, crankcase access and asymmetric work. Ideal for workshops working on heavy segments, such as 650-1200 cc cruisers, 1000+ cc touring bikes and sidecars.

Mechanics and geometry:

  • 560 kg capacity – Covers all road and touring motorcycles, including cruisers, touring and custom bikes up to 1200+ cc. Increased safety margin for motorcycles with additional equipment
  • Adjustable height 100-600 mm – 500 mm range lifts heavy motorcycles from a minimum height, 100 mm, perfect for low motorcycles, up to 600 mm. Precise height control regardless of load weight
  • 1500 mm platform length – Length optimized for touring and cruiser motorcycles with 1350-1500 mm wheelbase. 850 mm width also covers sidecars and motorcycles with side bags
  • Adjustable 0-45° tilt – Platform inclination allows the motorcycle to be positioned at an angle. Useful for access to angled crankcases, oil changes without spillage and asymmetric frame work. 45° is the maximum safe angle
  • Corrugated anti-slip sheet metal – High-grip surface for wide tyres. Heavy motorcycles do not slip during lifting, even with one-hand operation
  • Double symmetrical hydraulic cylinders – 2 synchronized cylinders ensure perfectly balanced load distribution. No unwanted tilting during work
  • Foot pedal control – One-hand operation during lifting. Smooth height control without fatigue for operators of different strength levels
  • Side safety guides – Retaining supports keep the motorcycle centred during tilting. Prevents lateral slipping on the tilted platform
  • Swivel castors with brake – Agile mobility between workshop stations. Brake locks the lift during work with inclined tilt

Who chooses it:

  • Workshops specialized in cruisers and touring motorcycles – Maintenance on heavy motorcycles, such as 650-1200 cc Harley, BMW GS and Kawasaki touring bikes. The GMR-560 lift is a standard tool for heavy segments
  • Multi-brand workshop mechanics – Restoration of heavy used motorcycles, pre-delivery inspection (PDI) of tourers and heavy vintage motorcycles. The 560 kg capacity covers almost the entire motorcycle fleet
  • Professional heavy-duty motorcycle maintenance centres – Tyre replacement on heavy motorcycles, frame repairs and customizations. Tilt allows specialized work on heavy segments
  • Workshops with intensive cycles on heavy motorcycles – Areas with a high concentration of touring/cruiser motorcycles. The 560 kg lift is an investment that speeds up work cycles on high value-added segments

Who chooses it in Italy

Workshops specialized in cruisers, Harley-Davidson and heavy motorcycles – Maintenance on 650+ cc motorcycles with frequent cycles. The 560 kg capacity also covers custom motorcycles with additional equipment. The 45° tilt makes specific engine access easier on low motorcycles.

BMW touring, KTM Adventure and heavy vintage motorcycle maintenance centres – Services on 1000+ cc touring and adventure motorcycles. The 600 mm height allows comfortable work on heavy motorcycles. Adjustable tilt is suitable for complex geometries.

Multi-brand workshops with heavy segments – Managing fleets with different motorcycles, including road, touring and cruiser bikes. The GMR-560 is a single solution that covers the full range without requiring an additional lift.

After-sales support and accessory compatibility

Who the Güde GMR-560 motorcycle lift is suitable for

Profile Suitable? Reason
Workshop specialized in heavy motorcycles, cruisers and touring bikes Ideal 560 kg capacity covers 650-1200 cc segments without limitations. 45° tilt makes work on low motorcycles with asymmetric access easier. Synchronized double cylinders ensure stability on heavy motorcycles.
Heavy vintage motorcycle maintenance centre Ideal Vintage motorcycles from the 1960s-1980s weighing up to 350+ kg. Compact 600 mm height for low vintage motorcycles. Tilt allows specific work on vintage frames.
Multi-brand workshop with mixed segments Adequate If work cycles on heavy motorcycles are frequent, over 60% of the workload, the GMR-560 investment is justified. If light motorcycles, 125-400 cc, dominate, under 20%, the GMR-360 version may be sufficient.

Not suitable for:
cycles exclusively on light 125-400 cc motorcycles, where the GMR-360 is more agile and economical; very restricted workshop spaces, as the 180 kg weight is significant and makes movement more difficult; occasional cycles on heavy motorcycles, where the investment is not justified by occasional maintenance.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum load the GMR-560 lift can support?

560 kg. Do not exceed this load to avoid damaging the hydraulic cylinders and overload valve. For heavy cruiser/touring motorcycles, with dry weight of 200-280 kg and 210-300 kg with fuel, the lift is suitable with a safety margin. For supersport motorcycles under 250 kg dry weight, use the more agile GMR-360.

Is the tilt up to 45° useful for maintenance on low heavy motorcycles?

Yes, very useful. Cruisers and Harley-Davidson motorcycles have low saddle heights, 680-750 mm, and irregular centres of gravity. The 45° tilt inclines the platform, making access to the engine crankcase and oil change operations easier. 45° is the maximum inclination for safety.

How stable is the mechanism with 2 synchronized cylinders?

Extremely stable. Synchronized cylinders ensure perfectly balanced load distribution – no unwanted tilting even during 45° tilt. The platform remains horizontal from 100 mm to 600 mm during any manoeuvre, even with a heavy asymmetric motorcycle.

Can I lift sidecar motorcycles with the GMR-560?

Yes. A professional sidecar with motorcycle typically weighs 450-550 kg. The GMR-560, with 560 kg capacity, offers an adequate safety margin. The 850 mm platform width covers the entire motorcycle + sidecar assembly. Contact Krollit to verify the specific sidecar weight.

Does tilt adjustment up to 45° require manual control?

Yes. Tilt is manual and controlled via the foot pedal during lifting. The operator adjusts the inclination in real time while raising the platform. The integrated safety valve prevents uncontrolled tilt or exceeding the maximum 45° angle.

Is the 180 kg weight of the lift a handling issue?

For workshops with 2-3 mechanics, the weight is manageable. The lift has swivel castors with brake, allowing controlled movement between stations. For workshops with only one mechanic, frequent movement between different areas may be tiring. Evaluate the workshop layout before purchase.

What maintenance does the GMR-560 require?

Minimal maintenance. Monthly inspection: check oil pressure, cylinder integrity with no leaks, pedal operation and cylinder synchronization, with the platform remaining horizontal. Oil replacement is recommended every 12 months with moderate use, fewer than 15 motorcycles/month. Lubricate wheels and brakes every 6 months with spray lubricant, such as WD-40.
