Description

Güde OP 30 Manual Fruit Press – 30 Litre Extreme Capacity, 870 mm Height, Fully Assembled

The OP 30 is the extreme top-of-the-range manual fruit press built for maximum-volume fruit pressing: 30-litre pressing basket capacity — the LARGEST in the Güde line — sturdy steel spindle with vertical crank handle, untreated natural wood for a genuine artisan look, maximum output over continuous cycles, professional-grade 15 kg build, 870 mm height for a dedicated workshop, and fully assembled, ready to use with zero setup or assembly required.

30-litre EXTREME capacity for record output (BUILT FOR MAXIMUM-VOLUME PRODUCTION): the 30-litre basket is the extreme capacity option, ideal for the LARGEST professional fruit growers (orchards of 500+ trees, seasonal harvests of 2,000+ kg, fruit cooperatives). The operator loads fruit (apples, pears, peaches, apricots, grapes) into the 30-litre basket, which takes 18–22 kg of fruit per load (versus 12–15 kg on the OP 18 and 8–10 kg on the OP 12). Pressing: the sturdy steel spindle with vertical crank handle converts rotation into constant, maximum vertical pressure. Cycles: 25–30 cycles a day = 150 kg of fruit = 100–150 litres of juice collected (the OP 18 = 30 cycles = 90 kg = 60–90 litres; the OP 12 = 30 cycles = 60 kg = 40–60 litres — this is EXTREME MAXIMUM OUTPUT). The 870 mm height suits a dedicated workshop and is a mark of top-level professionalism (a permanent installation in dedicated space, with no need to reposition it).

Who the Güde OP 30 press is for

Profile Suitable? Why
Very large fruit grower (500–1,500 trees) Ideal Extreme 30 L capacity, output of 150 kg fruit/day, maximum continuous cycles, arrives assembled and ready to use, robust 15 kg build lasting 20+ years
Large-scale agritourism business (300–500 guests) Ideal 30 L capacity for continuous sessions of 100–150 people, maximum output with fast cycles, 870 mm height for spectacular presentation, assembled with zero delays
Large professional cooperative / dairy Ideal 30 L capacity for maximum continuous daily production cycles, food-contact coating with EU certification, arrives assembled and ready to use, steel spindle built for week-long cycles

Not recommended for:
hobbyists and smaller professionals (<300 trees) — the OP 6 or OP 12 is the better fit (sufficient capacity, lower weight); workshops with less than 3 m of vertical space (the 870 mm height requires maximum clearance); continuous cycles of 10+ hours (the spindle is built to take it, but the operator will tire considerably).

Frequently asked questions

1. OP 30 vs OP 18 vs OP 12 vs OP 6: which should I choose — the COMPLETE range compared

The full hierarchy is clear: OP 6 = 6 L, OP 12 = 12 L (double), OP 18 = 18 L (triple), OP 30 = 30 L (five times the OP 6). Over the same working day (6–8 hours), the OP 30 extracts the MOST juice (100–150 litres, versus 60–90 litres for the OP 18, 40–60 litres for the OP 12 and 20–30 litres for the OP 6). For small-scale hobbyists (<50 trees): the OP 6 is the right fit (lower weight). For mid-sized professionals (100–300 trees): the OP 12 is ideal. For large professionals (300–500 trees): the OP 18 is optimal. For cooperatives and the largest operations (500+ trees): the OP 30 is essential (maximum output, with ROI in 2–3 months).

2. Is the 870 mm height a problem in the workshop?

Not a problem. The 870 mm height is a deliberate choice for a DEDICATED workshop, not a domestic kitchen. What it needs: more than 3 m of free vertical clearance (a proper workshop) and a sturdy, permanent bench (no repositioning). The advantage: maximum operator ergonomics, an unobstructed view of the collection basin, and the best possible natural gravity drainage. A permanent setup is a genuine ASSET — it's what a dedicated fruit-processing workshop looks like.

3. Is the 15 kg pre-assembled press hard to position?

Not difficult. 15 kg is a standard weight for workshop equipment (comparable to a small professional oven). Positioning happens once — there's no repeated moving. The operator only grips the vertical crank handle (no lifting, just rotation). Moving it later (for annual cleaning, say) is a two-person job, but it isn't a frequent operation.

4. Is "fully assembled, ready to use" a real benefit?

Yes, a REAL one. The OP 6, OP 12 and OP 18 need to be put together on arrival (20–30 minutes of setup). The OP 30 arrives pre-assembled: place it on the bench, position the basin, and start pressing straight away (5 minutes of setup). The advantages: no assembly errors, simpler logistics, and a faster start to the season. Less risk overall.

5. Is the 100–150 litres per day output realistic?

Yes, as a realistic MAXIMUM. Thirty 30-litre cycles come to 900 litres in theory, but fruit is not 100% juice — residual pulp accounts for around 30–40% of the weight. In practice: 600 kg of fruit yields roughly 150–180 litres of pure juice (a yield of about 25–30%). Thirty cycles a day on the OP 30 at 100–150 litres of output is the realistic daily MAXIMUM, breaks included.

6. Is the Ø 370 mm collection basin big enough for the OP 30?

Yes, and it works efficiently. At roughly 15–18 L, the basin covers 1–2 partial 30-litre cycles: in practice the operator presses load 1 while the basin fills part-way, which keeps the workflow moving. The efficient approach rotates 2–3 basins (one collecting, the others in storage or being cleaned) — a well-established professional solution.

7. Which fruit is suitable for the OP 30's extreme capacity?

The same as the OP 6 / OP 12 / OP 18: apples, pears, peaches, apricots and grapes are ideal (sweet fruit with high juice content). Less suitable: hard fruit such as cherries and medlars (a manual spindle is limited by human pressing force). Recommended: mix soft and hard fruit for a good balance. Avoid: rotten or mouldy fruit — biological contamination is a serious risk at high production volumes.
