The back gauge is an adjustable stop that is positioned at the back of the machine's cutting table (BM 3020) to ensure repeatable cuts at the same depth or at the same transversal position without measuring each piece. It moves and locks along a graduated guide. For sheet metal bending, the back gauge determines the exact position of the bend relative to the edge of the sheet.
