The operating method involves first positioning the pins in the grid hole closest to the desired length, then using the sliding bar for fine correction up to 96 mm. This covers the entire range of lengths without ever having to remeasure: once set, all cut pieces will have exactly the same length.
Can the fastening pins be used as independent bench dogs?
Yes. The 2 fastening pins included in the kit have the same function as low-profile UJK Super Dogs and fit into the 20 mm holes of the MFT top. When the Parf Repeat Stop is not in use, the pins can remain mounted on the top as bench dogs for clamping the workpiece.
This dual function reduces the number of accessories needed on the top. The pins do not have the expansion mechanism of the UJK Super Dogs or Expanding Dogs, but they offer a very low profile, useful when the workpiece needs to slide on the top without obstacles.
Does the bar remain locked to the bench dogs when the stop is removed from the top?
Yes. The adjustment bar can remain locked to the pins even when the stop body is removed from the top. This allows you to resume exactly the same length setting without having to recalibrate each time.
This feature is useful in repetitive production of series of pieces of the same length distributed over multiple work sessions: the pins remain in the top with the bar at the correct position, and the stop can be remounted in a few seconds with the same setting.
What is the difference between the Parf Repeat Stop and the Fence and Length Stop?
The Parf Repeat Stop is a compact pin stop that fits directly into the holes in the top; it does not include a straight fence. The Fence and Length Stop is an 1,100 mm fence with a metric scale and flip-stop, designed for track saw cutting operations where a long longitudinal reference is also needed.
The Parf Repeat Stop is recommended when performing repeated cuts of the same length with the track already positioned and you only want to define the workpiece stop point, without taking up space on the top with a long fence. The Fence and Length Stop is recommended when you need both a lateral reference fence and a length stop calibrated to the cutting line.
Is the Parf Repeat Stop compatible with the original Festool MFT/3 top?
Yes. The Festool MFT/3 uses a 20 mm hole grid with a 96 mm pitch, the same standard for which the Parf Repeat Stop is designed. The fastening pins fit directly into the holes of the MFT/3 top without adapters.
It is also compatible with the Festool MW1000, the UJK Multifunction Workbench and any top built with the Parf Guide System MkII or MkI. For tops with a grid different from the 96 mm pitch, the stop is not recommended, as the 0–96 mm scale is calibrated to that specific pitch.
