The IGM Marking T-Rule is a professional-grade duralumin alloy marking T-square, featuring marking holes every 1 mm for drawing lines parallel to the edge of the panel from 5 mm up to 160 or 260 mm. Available in two sizes: 160 mm scale (200 mm total length) and 260 mm scale (300 mm total length). Distributed in Italy by Krollit, official IGM distributor since 2007.

What is the difference between the 160 mm and 260 mm versions of the Marking T-Rule?

The 160 version has a scale from 5 to 160 mm and total dimensions of 200×98×14 mm; the 260 version has a scale from 5 to 260 mm and dimensions of 300×98×14 mm. The 260 version is recommended for panels and boards wider than 160 mm, such as kitchen countertops or furniture panels.

How is the Marking T-Rule used to draw parallel lines?

Place the T-stop on the edge of the panel, insert the lead tip into the hole corresponding to the desired distance, and slide the rule along the edge, keeping the lead in the hole. The result is a line parallel to the edge with a maximum deviation equal to the lead diameter (0.5–1 mm).

Does the Marking T-Rule also work as a 90° square?

Yes. The T-stop ensures a right angle between the rule and the edge of the workpiece, allowing for the marking of lines perpendicular to the edge as well as parallel ones. It does not replace an angle square for measurements of angles other than 90°.

Which leads are compatible with the marking holes?

The holes are sized for leads with a diameter of 0.5 to 1 mm, standard for technical pencils and carpentry mechanical pencils. Leads with a diameter greater than 1 mm will not fit into the holes and will compromise marking precision.

Is the Marking T-Rule available in versions with an inch scale?

No. The scale is exclusively in millimeters, with marks every 5 mm and holes every 1 mm. A version with an imperial scale is not available.
