The Bernardo SB 2 sandblaster is a professional benchtop cabinet designed for workshops, body shops, agriculture, and industry. Suitable for paint stripping, polishing, deburring, degreasing, and rust removal, it produces homogeneous and fast results on various materials. Constructed from robust steel sheet with a dust-proof sealed door and integrated gloves, it ensures a safe and clean working environment. The large transparent panel with protective film and internal lighting allow for optimal visibility during processing. With an air consumption of 550 l/min and operating pressure from 4 to 8 bar, it is compatible with various types of sand (60–100 mesh grit). The 37-liter hopper capacity allows for long work sessions without interruptions.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between SB 1, SB 2, SB 3, and SB 4?
SB 1: the most compact (benchtop cabinet for hobbyists, small volume, no integrated extractor). SB 2: professional benchtop cabinet, larger volume, integrated lighting. SB 3: like SB 2 with integrated extractor and filter — no external extractor required. SB 4: the largest (148 liters), for large parts, with integrated extractor. The choice depends on the volume of parts and frequency of use.
What type of abrasive material is used?
Bernardo SB 1–4 cabinets use dry granules: glass beads (for shiny surfaces), white or brown corundum (for roughing and satin finishing), garnet (for aluminum and soft materials), glass pearls (for finishing). Each abrasive leaves a different surface finish. The most common grit size is 80–120 mesh for general use. Do not use quartz sand — it produces silica dust that is dangerous to health.
Does the SB 3 / SB 4 cabinet require an external extractor?
No. SB 3 and SB 4 have integrated extractors and filters — they operate autonomously without connection to an external extractor. SB 1 and SB 2 require connection to an external extractor for air recirculation and dust filtration.
Are spare nozzles and films available?
Yes. Ceramic nozzles (Ø 4, 5, 6, 7 mm), protective films for the viewport, and all original Bernardo spare parts are available with 3–5 working days shipping.
What compressor is needed for SB cabinets?
Bernardo SB 1–4 cabinets require compressed air at 5–8 bar. A compressor with a minimum 50-liter tank and a minimum flow rate of 200–300 l/min is suitable for intermittent use. For continuous use, prefer compressors with a higher flow rate — sandblasting is an operation with high air consumption.
