Frequently asked questions
What grit size to use for different materials?
Metal roughing (quick removal): P40–P60. Intermediate metal sanding: P80–P120. Metal finishing: P150–P240. Wood roughing: P60–P80. Wood finishing: P100–P180. For aluminum, use specific aluminum belts with open coat to prevent clogging. Do not mix belts used on metal with those to be used on wood.
Can the work table be tilted for bevels?
Yes, on all models in the MS/BS/HV/BDSM range, the support surface is adjustable (typically 0°–45°) for sanding bevels and angled surfaces. Check the maximum angle in the technical table of the specific model.
Are replacement abrasive belts available?
Yes. Original Bernardo abrasive belts in various grit sizes for all models in the range are available with 3–5 business days shipping. Specify length, width, and model when ordering.
Does the sander have integrated dust extraction?
Yes — all MS/BS/HV S-series models have integrated extraction (indicated in the name). Connect an extractor with adequate capacity to the port to maintain cleanliness in the environment and visibility during processing.
Is assistance available?
