Description
Bernardo BBS 650 E – Log band saw with electric motor
Compact introduction (100–150 words):
The Bernardo BBS 650 E is a professional log band saw designed for the precise cutting of logs into boards, squared timbers, and beams, suitable for carpentry workshops, sawmills, and structural woodworking. Equipped with a 7.5 kW three-phase electric motor with star-delta starting, it offers smooth and reliable operation even under continuous load. The dynamically balanced cast iron flywheels ensure smooth running and stability, while the suspended saw unit guided on both sides guarantees precision during every processing step. Blade lubrication is optimized by the coolant tank with a dosing tap. Thanks to the extendable bed, the BBS 650 E allows for virtually unlimited cutting lengths while maintaining high operational versatility.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a petrol and an electric band saw?
Bloch BBS petrol saws are completely self-sufficient — they work on construction sites, in open fields, and wherever there is no electricity. Suitable for demolitions, road construction sites, pipe and metal structure installations where there is no electrical connection. The electric BBS E versions are quieter, emission-free, and suitable for indoor use.
What fuel does the BBS 650 B / BBS 780 B engine use?
The engines of Bloch BBS petrol saws use standard unleaded petrol (95 octane) with 2-stroke engine oil mixed according to the engine manufacturer's instructions — typically 1:50 (20 ml oil per liter of petrol). Do not use petrol without oil: the 2-stroke engine will be irreversibly damaged without lubrication.
What maintenance does the petrol engine require?
Air filter cleaning every 25 hours, spark plug replacement every 50 hours, carburetor check and cleaning every 100 hours. Before long periods of inactivity, empty the tank and run the engine until the fuel in the carburetor is exhausted to prevent petrol deposits. Follow the instructions in the included Italian manual.
Are replacement blades available?
Yes. Replacement bi-metal blades for Bloch BBS saws are available with 3–5 working days shipping.
Assistance available?
Original spare parts available with 3–5 working days shipping. Customer service available in Italian.
