When should the cutting blades of the PTS 1270 shear be replaced?
Blades should be replaced when: the cut is no longer clean (burrs on the edge), the machine requires more force than normal, the clearance between the knives has increased and is no longer adjustable. Before replacement, check if the existing blades can be restored by re-sharpening them — hardened steel blades are sharpened with a flat diamond grinding wheel. Customer service in Italian available.
