Description

Suitable for all core drilling machines with 19 mm Weldon shank, and stationary drills, using a quick-change chuck. It is possible to easily drill holes in pipes, profiles and overlapping materials (for long holes). An advantage of the core drill over twist drills is that the entire drilling surface is not machined, but only a thin ring. As a result, the effort is much lower. Furthermore, no pre-drilling is necessary, the core is ejected through the ejector pin. These advantages result in up to 40% labor savings.

HSS core drill vs standard drill bit — when to use a core drill?

A core drill (hole saw) produces large diameter holes (14–24 mm in this set) by removing only a ring of material instead of the entire section — less force required, less heat generated, and the slug (the inner "disk") is recoverable. For large diameter holes in steel, a core drill is more efficient than an oversized twist drill, which requires much more power. Suitable for drilling in pipes, profiles, and overlapping surfaces.

19 mm Weldon shank — which machines does it work on?

The 19 mm Weldon shank is the standard for portable magnetic core drills and for pillar drills with a Weldon chuck. With the appropriate adapter, it also works on pillar drills with a standard chuck. Check that your machine has a 19 mm Weldon shank or a compatible adapter before purchasing. Customer support in Italian available.
