The UJK Parf Plus Guide System is a jig system for drilling 20 mm holes in worktops, consisting of the Parf MkII Guide System and the stainless steel Parf Protractor. It allows for the creation of hole grids with 96 mm, 48 mm, or 32 mm spacing and angles from 0° to 90° in 0.5° increments, with CNC-comparable precision. Made in Great Britain, in Axminster (Devon). Distributed in Italy by Krollit, official UJK distributor since 2007.

Who uses the Parf Plus Guide System and for what
The system is used by carpenters, wood artisans, and workshop outfitters who need to create MFT (multifunction table) worktops, custom bench tops, or portable cutting tables with a high-precision 20 mm hole grid, without resorting to a CNC machine. In Italy, it is particularly adopted by carpenters who work custom with track saws and bench dogs, professionals who work on-site and need a repositionable workstation, and builders of benches for educational or advanced hobbyist use. The Parf Protractor extends its use to repeatable oblique cuts at any angle between 0° and 90°, also making it useful in precision woodworking contexts where the track saw is the primary tool.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Parf Plus Guide System compatible with Festool 20 mm bench dogs?
The system produces 20 mm holes compatible with all standard 20 mm bench dogs, including UJK Super Dogs. It is not specifically certified for Festool bench dogs, but the 20 mm diameter is the industry standard for MFT systems.
Compatibility depends on the tolerance of the produced hole. The system uses a 20 mm carbide bit with a 3 mm center guide: drilling precision is comparable to CNC according to the manufacturer, a necessary condition for the correct functioning of bench dogs which require a precise fit.
What is the difference between the Parf Plus Guide System and the Parf MkII Guide System alone?
The Parf Plus includes the Parf MkII Guide System plus the stainless steel Parf Protractor. Without the Protractor, you can only drill at 90° and 45°; with the Protractor, you can drill angles from 0° to 90° in 0.5° increments.
Those who already have the Parf MkII Guide System can purchase the Parf Protractor separately. Those starting from scratch and planning to perform repeatable oblique cuts with a track saw will find the complete configuration in the Parf Plus without additional purchases.
On which materials does it work and on which is it not recommended?
The manufacturer indicates MDF and HDF as reference materials. It is not recommended for plywood coated with hardwood veneer.
In practice, it is mainly used on 18–25 mm MDF panels for bench tops, on HDF for portable cutting tables, and on MFT-style panels. On solid wood, it is technically possible, but hole precision is influenced by the wood grain: MDF and HDF guarantee more consistent results due to the homogeneous structure of the material.
Is it possible to extend the system beyond the 1,000 mm of the Parf Sticks?
Yes. UJK sells a connector (Parf Stick Connector) to join two Parf Sticks and cover larger surfaces. Replacement MkII Parf Sticks can be purchased separately.
The connector is useful for those who build benches with a depth greater than 1,000 mm. The precision of the system remains unchanged because the geometry is based on the Pythagorean theorem: the addition of a second pair of sticks does not introduce cumulative errors, which is one of the declared advantages of the system compared to traditional layout methods.
Are the included bits compatible with the Festool CENTROTEC system?
Yes. Both the 3 mm bit and the 20 mm bit have a 1/4" hex shank, declared compatible with the Festool CENTROTEC system and all standard hex quick-change systems.
This allows the bits to be used with cordless drills equipped with a hex quick-release chuck without additional adapters, simplifying the workflow on site or in the workshop.
