Krollit offers the lathe and the base as distinct products to allow those who already have a suitable workshop bench not to purchase the base. For a complete and safe installation, the original base is highly recommended: it brings the lathe to an ergonomic working height and includes a chip collection tray and a lockable door.

Is RAL 5014 pigeon blue painting standard?

Yes — all Bernardo bases use RAL 5014 pigeon blue powder coating, the same color as the machines. Polyester powder coating is more resistant than liquid painting to impacts, cutting oils, and workshop humidity.
