Specialized Güde GE 1450.1 engine – 2-stroke petrol, 1.45 kW, for earth augers
The specialized Güde GE 1450.1 engine is a 1.45 kW / 2 HP 2-stroke petrol engine designed to power manual earth augers (GH 150, GH 80-150) or as a replacement engine for GE 2200 motorized augers. Maximum rotation speed 7,500 rpm, 63 cm³ displacement. Manufactured in Germany by Güde, it is distributed in Italy by Krollit as the official distributor since 2007. Engine only, without integrated auger. Availability on request.
When to motorize a manual auger
Switching from a manual auger to a motorized one does not mean replacing the tool: it means upgrading the one you already own. The GE 1450.1 is compatible with GH 150 manual augers (150 mm diameter) and GH 80-150 3IN1 manual augers (interchangeable 80/100/150 mm bits), turning them into high-performance motorized augers. Motorization reduces digging time from manual to mechanical operation, lowers operator fatigue and maintains the versatility of interchangeable bits. The engine runs at a constant 7,500 rpm, ensuring uniform penetration speed on medium and compact soils.
Compatibility and coupling
The GE 1450.1 is compatible with:
- Güde GH 150 manual auger (150 mm diameter, 1,030 mm depth)
- Güde GH 80-150 3IN1 manual auger (interchangeable 80 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm bits, 1,030 mm depth)
It is also available as a replacement engine for GE 2200 motorized augers in the event of engine wear or failure. Coupling the engine to the manual auger requires a mechanical adapter kit (sold separately by Krollit), and installation is reversible: the engine can be detached and the auger returns to manual use.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the GE 1450.1 to motorize the GH 150 manual auger I already own? Yes. The GE 1450.1 is designed to be paired with the GH 150 manual auger.
What is the difference between GE 1450.1 (engine only) and GE 2200 (complete motorized auger)? GE 1450.1 is the 1.45 kW 2-stroke engine sold as a single component, without auger. GE 2200 is a complete motorized auger (2.2 kW engine integrated into the frame, fixed 100/150/200 mm bits, 16.8 kg weight, 800 mm depth). If you already have a manual auger, GE 1450.1 costs less and lets you keep your bits. If you are starting from scratch, GE 2200 is more practical (fully assembled).
How many hours of autonomy does the 1.1-litre tank provide during continuous digging? At continuous operation (7,500 rpm at medium load), the tank lasts approximately 2-3 hours. On easy soil, consumption decreases; on very hard soil, it increases slightly. We recommend keeping a spare fuel can on site for half-day shifts (4-5 hours) without interruptions.
Is the GE 1450.1 a replacement engine for the GE 2200? Yes, technically the GE 1450.1 is the engine that powers the GE 2200. If the GE 2200 engine wears out or fails, the GE 1450.1 is the original Güde replacement. Always check the engine serial number and frame number with a Krollit technician before ordering.
Which petrol-oil mixture should I use? 1:50 mixture (2% 2-stroke engine oil). Example: 1 litre of unleaded petrol + 20 ml of SAE 30 oil for 2-stroke engines. Do not use diesel, do not use different mixtures, and do not use leaded petrol (it damages the spark plug and valve).
