Description
The FDM 430 - 16 RL pillar drill is a floor-standing machine powered at 400 V, with a drilling capacity of up to 25 mm, MT 3 Morse taper spindle mount and 16 speeds from 160 to 3,000 rpm. The 1.1 kW aluminium motor features rotation reversal as standard. The 355 × 355 mm table with T-slots and perimeter coolant channel tilts ±45° and is height-adjustable by crank, while the 1,205 mm distance between spindle and base allows tall workpieces to be drilled too.
What are the main features of the FDM 430 - 16 RL?
- Clockwise/anticlockwise rotation reversal with cam switch, as standard
- 16 speeds from 160 to 3,000 rpm, to match the speed to the drill diameter and material
- MT 3 Morse taper spindle mount and drilling capacity up to 25 mm
- Machined 355 × 355 mm table with T-slots and perimeter coolant channel
- Table tilts from -45° to +45°, height-adjustable via rack and crank
- Quill on quality ball bearings for high concentricity
- 1.1 kW aluminium motor with IP54 protection rating
- Machined base for clamping tall workpieces, with 1,205 mm spindle-to-base distance
- Precision keyless chuck 1–16 mm included
- Height-adjustable guard and separate emergency stop button
What applications is it suitable for?
The FDM 430 - 16 RL is suitable for workshops, metal fabrication shops, maintenance departments and laboratories that drill steel, aluminium, wood and plastics up to 25 mm, including on tall or bulky workpieces thanks to its floor-standing pillar design. The table channel collects coolant when drilling steel, while rotation reversal is useful for extracting tools and for operations requiring anticlockwise rotation. It requires connection to a 400 V three-phase supply.
It is not suitable for users with only a 230 V single-phase socket, nor for workpieces that require the drilling point to be moved beyond the 215 mm throat depth: in these cases a radial drill is required.
What are the technical specifications of the FDM 430 - 16 RL?
What equipment is included with the FDM 430 - 16 RL?

- Arbor MT 3 / B 16 – to connect the chuck to the MT 3 Morse taper mount.
- Clockwise/anticlockwise cam switch – for reversing the spindle's direction of rotation.
- Height-adjustable guard – to protect the drilling area during machining.
- Separate emergency stop button – for stopping the machine quickly.
- Service tools – for the adjustment and maintenance operations specified by the manufacturer.
