The UJK Parf Guide System MkII is a multifunctional workbench hole drilling system for hobbyist and professional use, featuring two 1,000mm stainless steel rules with holes spaced 96mm apart, a 20mm carbide drill bit, and precision comparable to CNC machining. Manufactured in the UK, the UJK brand was founded by Axminster Tools in 2012. Distributed in Italy by Krollit, official Record Power distributor since 2007.

Who uses the Parf Guide System MkII and for what
The system is used by woodworkers, bench joiners, and jig builders who create custom multifunctional worktops, portable cutting stations, and assembly surfaces with a 20mm grid. In Italy, it is primarily used by furniture makers who work with track saws (Festool, Makita, DeWalt) and require repeatable 90° and 45° cuts without an auxiliary square. It is also suitable for building school laboratory tables or compact woodworking benches in small spaces, where a custom pre-drilled top replaces a commercial multifunctional top at a significantly lower cost.
Its place in the UJK range
The MkII is the updated version of the original Parf Guide System (MkI). Compared to the MkI, the MkII introduces self-lubricating hardened steel bushings that prevent direct contact between the 3mm drill bit and the rule, eliminating progressive wear on the holes. It adds two drill guides instead of one, the holes on the rules increase from 3mm to 6mm, and it introduces the possibility of 32mm and 48mm grid spacing. The PLUS version includes the Parf protractor for angled holes from 0° to 90° in 0.5° increments.

Who the Parf Guide System MkII is for
| Profile |
Compatibility |
Reason |
| Woodworker with track saw |
Suitable |
Allows 90° and 45° cuts with guide positioned on 20mm bench dogs, without auxiliary square |
| Hobbyist with portable router or plunge saw |
Suitable |
The 20mm grid with 96mm spacing provides clamping points every 96mm across the entire bench surface |
| Industrial production with CNC machining centers |
Not suitable |
The system operates on manually drillable surfaces (MDF, HDF, plywood); it does not replace CNC programming for panel series |
Not suitable for: solid hard wood surfaces (oak, beech, walnut) where the 20mm carbide drill bit requires controlled feed not compatible with manual plunge drilling; not recommended for those who work exclusively on pre-drilled commercial panels without the need to customize the grid.

Professional applications
Building custom multi-functional worktops
With the two rules overlapped at 90° and the reference pins, the system creates a 20mm hole grid with 96mm spacing on any MDF or HDF panel in less than 30 minutes. The Pythagorean basis of the layout eliminates the accumulation of progressive errors that would occur with manual point-by-point measurement. The result is a grid with precision comparable to CNC machining, usable with bench dogs, saw guides, and clamping systems for 90° and 45° cuts.
Extending or replicating an existing multi-functional worktop
With the grid expansion reference dogs (optional accessory), the rules align with the existing 20mm holes on an existing multi-functional worktop, allowing the grid to be extended onto a second panel with millimeter accuracy compared to the original layout. This is relevant for those building modular side-by-side cutting stations or replacing a worn-out top of a commercial multi-functional table.
