What is the maximum load the balancer can support?

Does the balancer really reduce lifting effort?
Yes. Through the worm screw mechanism, the balancer reduces manual effort on the crane pump by 50–70%. With a 300 kg engine, the operator handles an effort equivalent to 90–150 kg on the manual pump. Without the balancer, the effort corresponds to the full 300 kg load.
How is the balancer used with the crane?
Suspend the balancer from the attachment eye of the 1000 kg crane using the crane hook. Position the engine on the 4 suspension chains, one per corner. Adjust the engine height using the crane pump and the balancer crank. Check that all 4 chains are evenly tensioned.
Is the 340 mm adjustment sufficient for different engines?

How do I check that the load is balanced on the 4 chains?
Observe the tension of the 4 chains during lifting. All must be evenly tensioned, and none should hang loose. If one chain is slack, the engine is not correctly positioned on all 4 chains. Re-adjust the position before lifting completely.
Can the balancer remain permanently suspended with an engine loaded?
No. It is designed for temporary positioning and lifting, for hours, not days. If the engine must remain suspended, support it with hardwood blocks or fixed supports and unload the balancer. Keeping the chains under tension for days causes excessive stress.
What is the difference between a Güde balancer and balancers from other brands?
The Güde balancer is optimized for Güde cranes 1000 kg, 2000 kg and 1000.1 kg: attachment eye dimensions and chains are compatible. Balancers from other brands may not fit correctly. Always check compatibility before purchase.
How is the balancer maintained?
