Manual pallet truck Güde 2500 kg – 1150 mm forks, 115 mm lift, 65 kg weight
The manual pallet truck is the standard tool for pallet handling in warehouses, workshops, loading/unloading areas. Unlike a manual trolley without lifting function, which transports loads at a low level, the manual pallet truck lifts the pallet from the ground and moves it horizontally using a manual hydraulic pump.
The Güde GHW-2500-115 model is the standard format: 2500 kg capacity, 1150 mm forks for European pallets (1200 × 800 mm), 115 mm lift for pallet storage.
Manual mechanics and manoeuvrability:
- 2500 kg capacity – Handles single pallets up to 2500 kg: pallets with components, materials, packaging, standard European containers
- 1150 mm forks – Optimal length for European pallets 1200 × 800 mm. 550 mm width ensures entry into standard pallet openings
- 115 mm lift – Raises the pallet 115 mm from the ground, from 85 mm to 200 mm total height. Sufficient for stacking on other pallets or low platforms
- 180° steering column – Full rotation allows excellent manoeuvrability in confined spaces. Enables side insertion of pallets in narrow work areas
- Polyamide wheels with tandem rollers – Robust wheels withstand repeated loads. Swivel steering wheels ensure agile mobility. The wide contact surface reduces sinking on uneven floors
- Manual hydraulic pump – Integrated control tiller raises/lowers the load without excessive effort. Pedal or lever for controlled lowering
Who chooses it:
- Warehouses and logistics centres – Recurrent handling of standard European pallets (800 × 1200 mm) from receiving to storage. 2500 kg capacity covers fully loaded single pallets
- Workshops and manufacturing companies – Handling of heavy components, raw materials and semi-finished packaging between workstations. 115 mm lift allows stacking on low pallets
- Loading/unloading areas – Quick transfer of pallets from trucks to warehouses and vice versa. 180° steering column allows precise positioning in tight spaces
- Small shops and distribution companies – Daily pallet handling for shelf replenishment, shipping and receiving. Reduced weight (65 kg) allows agile parking
Who chooses it in Italy
Medium-sized warehouses and logistics centres – The Güde 2500 kg pallet truck is a standard solution for warehouses with 100–500 rotating pallets. 1150 mm forks are standard for EU pallets. Polyamide wheels withstand intensive daily cycles (50+ cycles/day). The 180° steering column is essential for narrow aisles.
Specialised workshops and manufacturing companies – Handling of heavy components, assemblies and materials between workstations. The 115 mm lift allows stacking on low pallets during assembly and temporary storage.
Loading/unloading and distribution areas – Quick transfer of pallets from trucks to warehouses. The 2500 kg capacity covers most single pallets. Excellent manoeuvrability in restricted loading dock areas.

Who the Güde 2500 kg manual pallet truck is suitable for
| Profile |
Suitable? |
Reason |
| Small shop / small company |
Ideal |
Occasional pallet handling (5–10 cycles/day). 2500 kg capacity covers single pallets. Investment is quickly recovered through reduced manual labour. |
| Medium warehouse / manufacturing workshop |
Ideal |
Recurrent handling (50+ cycles/day). Polyamide wheels withstand intensive cycles. 180° steering column is essential for narrow aisles. Ergonomic manual hydraulic pump. |
| Large logistics centre / automated warehouse |
Adequate |
For occasional operations or post-picking. For daily flows above 200 cycles, motorised pallet trucks should be considered. Still useful as a backup truck and for precise manoeuvres. |
Not suitable for: High-level lifting (115 mm is limited – for heights above 1500 mm, choose a motorised stacker); loads above 2500 kg (maximum capacity); continuous cycles above 300 cycles/day without breaks (excessive operator fatigue).

Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum load the pallet truck can carry?
2500 kg. Do not exceed this load to avoid damaging the hydraulic cylinder and safety valve. For single pallets up to 2500 kg, the pallet truck is suitable. For higher loads, contact Krollit for 3000 or 5000 kg models.
Is the 115 mm lift sufficient for pallet stacking?
Yes, for stacking on low platforms or on other already raised pallets. The maximum height of 200 mm allows two pallets to be stacked with clearance. For higher stacking (3–4 pallets), choose a motorised stacker with a higher lifting height, such as 1600 mm.
How much effort is needed to lift 2500 kg with the manual pump?
The hydraulic pump reduces manual effort: typically, 30–50 kg of force on the tiller lifts a 2500 kg load (amplification factor 50–80). The number of pumping cycles for 115 mm is 4–8, depending on pressure, which is not declared.
Do polyamide wheels require maintenance?
Monthly check: clean off residues and check surface wear (grooves). PA wheels are robust and do not require inflation, unlike pneumatic wheels. If excessive wear occurs after 2–3 years of intensive use, wheel replacement is available with delivery times of 5–7 days.
Can I use the pallet truck on uneven surfaces such as gravel or damaged asphalt?
Yes, but with caution. Polyamide wheels withstand minor irregularities. On very rough surfaces or where potholes are present, a pallet truck with solid rubber wheels is preferable (Krollit accessory). The 180° steering column allows agile navigation even on difficult surfaces.
Does the 180° steering column allow manoeuvres in tight spaces?
Yes. Full 180° rotation allows side insertion of pallets into narrow aisles and tight corners. The overall length of 1550 mm remains compact even during maximum steering. Estimated turning radius: 1500–1800 mm.
How is the pallet lowered in a controlled way?
A pedal or lever on the steering column controls slow and regulated lowering. It is not free lowering – the operator adjusts the opening of the release valve for controlled descent. This is important to avoid damaging the goods.
What is the difference between a Güde manual pallet truck and a motorised pallet truck?
Manual: 115 mm lift, manual pump, lower cost, suitable for fewer than 50 cycles/day. Motorised: lift above 1600 mm, electric pump, higher cost, suitable for more than 100 cycles/day. The manual pallet truck remains preferred for precise positioning and confined spaces.
