What materials can this saw band (2240 x 13 x 0.5 mm) be used on?
Bimetallic band saw blade for metal: mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, cast iron. Check the tooth pitch in the technical table for the specific material.
What band speed should be used for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum?
Mild steel S235: 40–80 m/min with coolant. Stainless steel AISI 304: 20–30 m/min with coolant. Aluminum: 80–120 m/min. For stainless steel AISI 304: use the lowest available speed, abundant coolant. Excessive speeds cause overheating and rapid blade wear.
How can I extend the life of the saw band?
Correct tension and appropriate speed for the material (see previous question). Lubrication/cooling: essential for steel and stainless steel. Do not leave the blade under tension when the machine is not in use — constant tension fatigue reduces blade life.
Is the 2240 mm blade compatible with my Bernardo saw?
Each blade is specific to the model indicated in the title (or for machines of the same size). Always check the length, width, and thickness of the blade indicated in your saw's manual before purchasing. Customer support available in Italian.
