What material is this Ø 200 mm K80 corundum grinding wheel used for?

Corundum (Al₂O₃) grinding wheels are for unalloyed steel, structural steels S235/S355, HSS tool steels, iron, brass. K80 is suitable for finish sharpening HSS tools — it produces a finer edge than coarser grits. Do not use on tungsten carbide (HM) — corundum does not effectively work carbide and wears quickly. For HM, use only SDC or CBN diamond wheels.

Is this grinding wheel compatible with my bench grinder?

Check the outer diameter (200 mm), thickness, and bore hole before purchasing — they must exactly match the machine's specifications. Also check the maximum peripheral speed of the grinding wheel (indicated in m/s) against the machine's spindle speed. Never mount a grinding wheel with a maximum speed lower than the machine's operating speed. Customer support in Italian available.

How do you dress a corundum grinding wheel when it gets clogged?

With a diamond-tipped dresser (single-point dresser): rest the dresser on the machine's support, slowly bring the rotating wheel closer, and slide the diamond across the wheel's face with light pressure. Dressing exposes new abrasive grains and removes clogged bond. Repeat whenever the wheel loses efficiency or vibrates during use.
