The graphite coating on the platen improves belt glide; the spring-loaded belt tensioner automatically compensates for length differences; the quick-release lever speeds up abrasive changes. The mechanical oscillation optimizes belt wear and reduces the risk of burning. What grit should I use for different materials?

Metal roughing (fast removal): P40–P60. Intermediate metal sanding: P80–P120. Metal finishing: P150–P240. Wood roughing: P60–P80. Wood finishing: P100–P180. For aluminum, use specific aluminum belts with an open coating to prevent clogging. Do not mix belts used on metal with those used on wood.

Can the work table be tilted for bevels?

Yes, on all models in the MS/BS/HV/BDSM range, the support surface is adjustable (typically 0°–45°) for sanding bevels and angled surfaces. Check the maximum angle in the technical table for the specific model.

Are replacement abrasive belts available?

Yes. Original Bernardo abrasive belts in various grits for all models in the range are available with 3–5 working days shipping. Specify length, width, and model when ordering.

Does the sander have an integrated dust extraction outlet?
